Where is the kit going?

Where is the best place for outdoor specialist kit to end up? Gathering dust your loft, buried in the never-ending rack of coats under the stairs?

As a group of climbers and mountaineers we’ve certainly been harbouring more ‘WarmStuff’ than we could ever really need. WarmStuff is a bridge between this kit and people living on the street or struggling with housing needs. Collecting the kit and passing it on to those who can use is most efficiently.

How it works.

  1. Climbing wall or outdoor clothing shop offer to be a collection point
  2. Old, serviceable outdoor kit is dropped off.
  3. The bin is collected when packed full of WarmStuff
  4. The charities can then distribute the WarmStuff to those who need it most.

City of Sanctuary  in Sheffield has been receiving kit right from the beginning about 2 years ago. “City of Sanctuary is a movement committed to building a culture of hospitality and welcome, especially for refugees seeking sanctuary from war and persecution.”
